Senior Warden’s Report

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

  Proverbs 3:5-6
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

  Proverbs 16:9

So how can we doubt? Our faith is strong at St. Charles. Look where we are after all we’ve been through; we’re a loving church family who serves. And we do so happily.

Do we know exactly what tomorrow will bring? Yes, in a sense. What we do know is if we remain faithful, good things are in store for us. We do know the future of the faithful is bright! We do know that as we serve the Lord and each other, positive things happen!

So let’s view the future of St. Charles with continued love and support. Let’s ask the Lord each day how we might serve Him and each other. And that is how we can be certain of our path, and where we are going.

Capital Campaign Giving

Not Today Cups

You will notice that the “Not Today” cup supply has been replenished and are available from the tables in the coffee hour area and by each entry. Note that an I.O.U. is now available for you to make note of what you “do without” in order to help your church grow the Capital Campaign Fund. With Lent beginning March 1st, this seems like an optional tool to use as penance.

Tribute Giving

A gift to St. Charles Church Capital Campaign Fund is a wonderful way to honor someone special. Tribute Giving brochures are available in the backs of the chairs in the sanctuary and on the tables by each entry.

Perhaps you’d like to give in memory of a loved one, or as a tribute on an important occasion, or as a way of expressing appreciation or love. Your donation goes beyond most ordinary ways of saying you care.

Your special gift will help strengthen the ministry of our

beloved church.

Pictures & Name Tags

We are updating our pictorial directory and reviving our membership picture board. You are invited to submit your own photo.

To submit your own photo, please note that it is best to have the photos orientated in landscape versus portrait. Unfortunately, adaptations are usually necessary in order to make it fit the criteria of our pictures software program.

It is most helpful if you submit the photo via email; If that’s not possible, please put your name on the back of the picture , put it in an envelope and drop it off on Joan’s desk

A few copies of the directory are available on the table in the narthex or check your email for the one sent out October 9th.

Nametags have been updated so every one should now have one. It is helpful for you to wear it, especially at the Annual Meeting. If you need one, please let Joan know.

If you have questions, please call Joan in the office, 779-3524
